Mary was born on June 30th, 1903 in Geraldton, Western Australia, Australia. Mary's father was Michael Meginess and her mother was Martha Bunter. Her paternal grandparents were Patrick McGuinness and Jane Margaret Morgan. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Michael, Luke, Patrick, William Simmons, Donald Ralph, Sarah Jane, Elizabeth Ellen and Annie Regan. She was the second youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 48 on February 1st, 1952 in Geraldton, Western Australia, Australia.
