William Henry was born on June 29th, 1847 in Brockley, Suffolk, , England.1   William Henry's father was William Keen and his mother was Elizabeth Manton.  His paternal grandparents were william keen and hanah nichols; his maternal grandparents were Charles Manton and Mary Chamberlain. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Charles Manton, Frederick George, Silas, George, Peter, James, Albert Edward, Jane Elizabeth, Annie, Susan Cecily and Elizabeth.  He was the oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 75 on August 20th, 1922 in Sydney, , New South Wales, Australia.
